Get an end-to-end understanding of the Criminal Justice system and the many roles within it, from police officers to investigators, lawyers, corrections officers, bailiffs, and social workers.
This concentration will focus less on a specific aspect of criminal justice and instead provides a deeper understanding of how each system interacts with each other to address the complexities of crime.
This concentration is ideal if you haven’t decided which career track you wish to pursue and will help you determine whether you want to patrol the streets, gather physical or cyber evidence to analyze as you build a criminal investigation case, advocate for crime victims, or oversee those who are incarcerated.
You'll learn the theory and practical applications of the criminal justice discipline including criminology, policing, corrections, judicial studies, quantitative analysis, and behavioral analysis.
This concentration pairs well with other programs, such as Forensic Science, History, Human Services, Legal Studies, Political Science, Pre-Law, and Psychology. Also, this concentration will help you determine the direction you want to take in this broad field, which can lead to roles including:
